New Recordings and Shows
As of October 30, Couse has taken a country house and is recording his second solo album there. Go to davecouse.com for the details in a rather tremulous message from Couse himself. Also, two new shows have been announced. Friday November 19 he's at the Letterkenny Arts Centre. And on Saturday December 4 he's at the Spirit Store in Dundalk.

As to our comments last week, obviously the announcement of a new solo album nixes any chance of an A House reformation in the near future. But we did get some messages from fans who would welcome back A House and especially any overdue fame and fortune that it might bring them.

A Minute Of Your Time
There's been a trend lately of alternative 90's bands reforming. The success of the Pixies comeback has possibly inspired other bands such as the Lemonheads and the Wedding Present to do the same. If A House ever were to reform, it seems that sooner rather than later would be the time to do it.

Would an A House reformation be emotionally and artistically desirable? It's hard to say. In any case, A House frontman Dave Couse continues to work on his second solo album. If you have an opinion on the matter, send us a message at zop@zop.ca and we'll post the best arguments next month.

Familar Feeling
I've added a new item to the discography - the second promo single for Genes. The 'Familiar Feeling' promo cd was sent to radio stations last year and features 'Close Watch' as well.

The Couse site has a new live concert video of 'I Almost Touched You' being performed earlier this year.

Looking to the future, Dave has been playing new songs in concert that will feature on his next album. Early fan favourites include 'Celebrity' and 'Batman and Robin'.

I Want To Grill Something
Lyrics have been compiled for the A House 'best of' album, The Way We Were. New transcriptions of the songs 'Kick Me Again Jesus' and 'Our Love Is Good Enough' are included.

There is yet another attempt at a messageboard at davecouse.com. Previous members will have to resubmit their details in order to post messages.

There is absolutely no House or Couse news to report at this time.

However, this month marks the second anniversary of the re-launch of our site. To celebrate, we've collected the articles from 2003 and archived them.

Also, the discography has been updated with images of some tour promo records. Thanks to Jake. Lyrics have been corrected according to email submissions from the glorious Zop diaspora. And there is a steely new background colour. Be strong.

UPDATE: davecouse.com has just announced a new Couse concert with full band and new songs at The Hub for Friday June 25th. Also, there is a new mp3 up in the davecouse.com samples section: The Section String Quartet performing "Here Comes The Good Times"!

Dave Couse plays with Edwyn Collins at The Village on Sunday March 14th. This show is part of the St. Patrick's festival. The last time these two played together, back in November, Edwyn covered Endless Art and Dave covered A Girl Like You. And perhaps Dave will give another try at the Cranberries' Linger?

A new Dave Couse interview is online here. Funny and informative. Check it out.
