There is a free launch event/gig at the Wicklow St. Tower Records in Dublin on Saturday Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m. If you're in the area you should try to drop by and show your support.

Batman and Robin
Batman and RobinThe new single by Dave Couse & The Impossible, Batman and Robin, is released today. It is backed with the previously mentioned Sunday Morning and a new original song: Youngblood. Priced at 2.99 in-store, the single doesn't appear to be available online.

New websites are forthcoming. Davecouse.com is to be redone and Dave's new record company, 1969records.com is supposed to launch a site. Nothing yet though.

The new album is scheduled for release in October, maybe the 8th. Provisionally titled The World Should Know, the 13 song album will be available on iTunes and from the 1969 site.

Tour dates are still being finalized but two gigs you should know of now are:
saturday sept. 17 / the spirit store, dundalk / with Pugwash acoustic
friday sept. 30 / the trinity rooms, limerick

Watch Out
Dave Couse has announced a few things on his message board. There will be a new Couse single in August: Batman & Robin. A cover of the Velvet Underground beauty, Sunday Morning, will be the b-side.

This single precedes the new album, which is scheduled for release in September. A new record company called 1969 will be releasing the album, and this time it might reach markets other than the Republic of Ireland.

Also in the works is a cover of the Pixies song, Bird Dream of the Olympus Mons (from Trompe le Monde), for a pixies tribute album.

Finally, thanks to John and Ciaran, a Couse radio session is available for download. This radio appearance preceded last month's Whelan's gig. There is a ten minute interview and three songs available: Beauty is the Beast, Batman & Robin and Sunday Morning. Enjoy.

Nothing's Impossible
A House news. A cover of I Am Afraid, performed by the late Kirsty MacColl has been discovered on a newly released boxed set of her's entitled From Croydon to Cuba: An Anthology. I Am Afraid of course is from the A House album I Am The Greatest. Apparently the song was recorded circa 1995 but remained unreleased until now.

The infamous Section Quartet will be performing a new version of Endless Art with Dave Couse at the Sugar Club in Dublin this Friday April 1. Endless Art is also, of course, from the A House album I Am The Greatest. It's possible that the Section Quartet is the same outfit that recorded this string quartet version of the A House song Here Come The Good Times.

Are you an A House fan from afar? Are you the only A House fan you know? Perhaps you can relate to this amusing and bittersweet reminiscence written by a member of the A House mailing list.

Dave Couse news. Dave has named his band The Impossible. The new album by Dave Couse and The Impossible is now scheduled for late summer '05. But you can check out the first teaser track from the album, Celebrity, here. The lyrics to Celebrity can be found on www.davecouse.com.

Our best wishes go out to Edwyn and family.
